Aisha Barkow MS, LPC

Co-Founder and Psychotherapist

As Co-Founder and Psychotherapist of A.B.D.H. Counseling Services, I had a goal to create a Mental Health Outpatient Clinic to provide a safe therapeutic environment that fosters personal growth, awareness, resilience, and healing.

Health Outpatient Clinic to provide a safe therapeutic environment that fosters personal growth, awareness, resilience, and healing. A.B.D.H. Counseling Services encompasses my vision and allows me to work with individuals seeking to manage mental health issues, remove life obstacles and transform into the best version of themselves.

The A.B.D.H. Counseling Services’ team is experienced, committed, and passionate about collaborating with individuals and families to address issues that impede growth, inner peace, and purposeful lives.

As a psychotherapist, I believe everyone has the capacity to change and possess the ability to regain control over their lives; ultimately, improving their quality of life.

I use several different evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Client-Centered Therapy. Depending on the individual, I also employ an integrated approach to provide the best care possible. The holistic approach treats an individual’s mental, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual needs creating a balance in the person’s life.

Through a strength-based and honest lens, I support individuals in gaining confidence and tools to navigate through obstacles such as trauma, depression, anxiety, mood dysregulation, and daily personal life challenges. Other areas of expertise are: parent-child conflict, grief/loss, PTSD, low self-esteem, ADHD, and relationship concerns.

Are you ready to take this journey in creating a new you? As your therapist, I will walk with you and empower you to face challenges and uncertainties head on. I know it’s not easy taking the first step, but we can develop a treatment plan that increases your life by working together. Victory is yours and I look forward to witnessing it.
