About Us

Lost on Purpose was born after Mallory & Jared, the couple behind the brand, were forced to close their business of 12 years due to Covid in 2020. They had spent the majority of their time, energy, and financial resources into building that business from the ground up and were completely blind-sided, like the rest of the world, when Covid hit. CrossFit Barracks was more than a business and more than a gym to them. They built an amazing community that felt like family.

With no plan B, they quickly put their heads together to come up with a game plan. Mallory, always seeing the glass half full, wanted to make lemonade out of lemons and had an off the wall idea to buy an RV. The more she researched, the more she found out about the awesome experiences full time traveling could bring to their family.

They had spent the majority of their children’s lives running the business and focusing on Mallory’s health challenges; Myasthenia Gravis (a rare auto-immune neuromuscular disease), Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, POTS, and a brain tumor. It made them realize how short life really is. They knew there was so much more to life than merely surviving everyday and craved quality time with each other; something they knew they wouldn’t be able to get back if they didn’t take the opportunity now. They took a chance and bought a 5th wheel. After watching a million YouTube videos on how to get started and selling almost everything they owned, they began their adventure in May 2021.

They haven’t looked back since. Full time traveling has opened their eyes to the things that really matter, time & family. They have decided together to choose memories over things. Traveling has allowed them to find themselves again during a period where they felt completely lost. The best part is that their children have never been happier.
