Collaboration

The Poured Collective supports women-run small-businesses. We are interested in developing collaborations to showcase the many skills small businesses have.

The current statistics about the challenges women face in business aren’t warm and fuzzy–they’re a wake-up call. As much as we hate to admit it, gender bias, “old boys clubs,” wage gaps, and societal norms still exist in places and often hinder women.

Building complementary partnerships is key to making a big impact.

Thanks in part to social media, society places high value on community and connection. This shift away from an ultra-competitive landscape gives rise to collaboration as a smart business strategy.

So, is it possible that collaboration, rather than competition, has the power to generate stronger business outcomes? Looking specifically at women-owned businesses, I like to think so.

I have recently worked with Shay from The Good Tile in Etobicoke. Shay creates the most amazing and original Luxury Vinyl Tiles, wallpaper and yoga mats. I contacted Shay after seeing her on CityLine and she created the tiles for my kitchen backsplash. Then, I picked one her wallpaper designs for our guest bathroom. I get so many compliments on both! Shay has an energy that is inspiring and I was happy to have the opportunity to work with her. Shay chose a vessel and then a few of the fragrances in The Poured Collective’s Fragrance Library. Her creativity was in the forefront as she chose names for her candles that represent her and her brand.

Anyone who is interested in collaborating with The Poured Collective, please reach out. There are endless possibilities to what we can do together.
